5.The Lovely Bones

Susie, a fourteen-year-old girl, is murdered by her neighbour Harvey. She refuses to move on from purgatory saying she has unfinished business and continues to watch over her family and her killer. Could be hard to watch for some people with this film. it flips back between the afterlife with the real world, it never gets too overcomplicated and that is the key, it might not be perfect but it is eye catching, it has got a great cast as this film is certainly memorable.
4.What Dreams May Come

Chris Nielsen dies in an accident and enters Heaven. But when he discovers that his beloved wife Annie has killed herself out of grief over the loss, he embarks on an afterlife adventure to reunite with her. Being an old-fashioned film this is surprisingly good. This will move people as this is heartfelt, the midsection falters just a little bit; despite that this is a slow burner type of film, it has got a simple story about the afterlife, it will surprised many people with this film.
3.Ghost

Sam and Molly love each other, but their romance is short – lived when Sam is killed by a thug. Unable to tell Molly that her life is in danger, Sam’s spirit takes a psychic’s help in order to save her. A beautiful story of romance that deals with the afterlife. The chemistry between the two lead is spot on, it might not gel or flow together as much, despite that this is a pretty good film, if you wanted an old-fashioned supernatural love story this is ideal for you.
2.Soul (2020)

Joe Gardner, a jazz musician, dies unexpectedly and enters the afterlife, where he meets 22, a soul yet to find purpose. Together, they explore life, passion, and personal fulfilment, questioning the meaning of existence and the pursuit of dreams. Eye catching film from start to finish. it is quietly powerful as this will move you, it might be slightly overcomplicated but this film is enjoyable, it has got a jazzy soundtrack but it works perfectly, it is superbly made.
1.The Book Of Life

In a bid to save the love of his life, Manolo sacrifices himself and is transported to the Land of the Remembered, where he reunites with his dead ancestors and strives to get his life back. Don’t judge this film as this touch my heart. it about families and choosing your paths and people will relate to that message, the vocal in this film is spot on, it is entertaining and funny at the same time, overall this is charming and fun film about the afterlife; this is brilliant.
Here’s some more to consider
Beetlejuice (1988) The spirits of a deceased couple are harassed by an unbearable family that has moved into their home, and hire a malicious spirit to drive them out. Michael Keaton is great in this.
Field of Dreams (1989) – Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella is inspired by a voice he can’t ignore to pursue a dream he can hardly believe. Supported by his wife, Ray begins the quest by turning his ordinary cornfield into a place where dreams can come true. “If you build it, they will come.”
The Ghost and Mrs Muir (1947) In 1900, a young widow finds her seaside cottage is haunted and forms a unique relationship with the ghost. Often shown on TV.
It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) – An angel is sent from Heaven to help a desperately frustrated businessman see the value of his own life. Has become a Christmas favourite getting reruns in cinemas.
The Sixth Sense (1999) – After being shot by a resentful former patient whom he failed to help, a Philadelphia child psychologist seeks redemption by treating a young boy with a disturbing secret. “I see dead people.”
