One of those film that will divide people as some will like this and some don’t. it might be surreal and weirdness but this is genuinely heartfelt, this is an underdog type of film which you needed, quietly this is joyous and uplifting at the same time, if you wanted something different this is ideal for you.
9.Stillwater (2021)

A father travels from Oklahoma to France to help his estranged daughter, who is in prison for a murder she claims she didn’t commit. Needless to say this is an unpredictable film. If you get past the brutal elements; the film itself is certainly memorable, the acting is believable and totally convincing, the pacing is spot on as it does hold your interest, this is pretty good.
8.Where The Crawdads Sing

A woman who raised herself in the marshes of the Deep South becomes a suspect in the murder of a man with whom she was once involved. Majestic scenery that will draw you in from start to finish. it could be hard to watch for some people, the flashback elements never get too overcomplicated, it got twist and turn throughout this film, this is superbly made.
7.Uncle Frank

Beth, a university student, sets out to attend her grandfather’s funeral with her uncle. However, things take a turn when an unexpected guest joins in on their road trip. LGBTQ film which is quietly powerful. The casting is perfect and spot on, the flashback elements never get too overcomplicated, it could be hard to watch for some people; the story and the idea behind this film will touch people heart, overall this is beautiful and relatable film.
6.Wild Rose

Amidst several difficulties, a single mother of two and a former convict from Scotland, Rose – Lynn, tries to pursue her dream of becoming a country singer. Keep chasing your dreams and never giving up. That is the message to this film; people will relate to that aspects as this an underdog type of film, it might be predictable but this is a heartwarming film that will touch people heart, you will care about with these characters, it will surprised many people.
5.A Big Bold Beautiful Journey

Through a surprising twist of fate, single strangers Sarah and David get to relive important moments from their respective past, illuminating how they got to where they are in the present. Quirky heartfelt film which about choosing your own paths. People will relate to that aspect; the idea and the story behind this film is superb, it has got some nice moments in this film as this is silently powerful; this is memorable from start to finish, it might be sad but it try to heartwarming at the same time, if you wanted something different this is ideal.
4.Gran Torino

After a Hong teenager tries to steal his prized 1972 Gran Torino, a disgruntled, prejudiced Korean War veteran seeks to redeem both the boy and himself. Once you watched this film you will always remember this. The ending is genuinely powerful and it will move you, the acting is absolutely amazing, it might be slower paced but it does hold your interest; it also deals with racism and that is an important subject, overall this is a beautiful film.
3.Presence (2024)

A family becomes convinced they are not alone after moving into their new home in the suburbs. Characters driven psychological horror film that take it time. This is a slow burner type of film that will creep you under your skin, it got twist after twist throughout this film, it feels unpredictable especially the ending, this is silently watchable as it will draw you in.
2.Remarkably Bright Creatures

Through unlikely bonds formed during night shifts at a local aquarium, Tova, an elderly widow, learns of a life – changing discovery that may bring her joy and wonder once again. A film with a good mystery with an unlikely friendship aspect. For me personally it certainly works; this is relatable for people as it about life in general, it might be sad but it tries to be heartwarming at the same time, this is perfect watchable and it will made you smile, it will surprised people.
1.The Danish Girl

A love story loosely inspired by the lives of Danish artists Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener. Lili and Gerda’s marriage and work evolve as they navigate Lili’s groundbreaking journey as a transgender pioneer. Another LGBTQ film that will move you. It never feels forced or too sentimental and that is the key, you will care about with these characters, it might be bleak and depressing but this is inspirational, it will leave you a lasting impression on you.
