This film actually based on the infamous duo who commit 16 murders committee over the period of 10 months in 1828 in Edinburgh, this is a dark comedy with great acting and an all British film and it got a good story.
9.From Hell

In Victorian – era London, a trouble clairvoyant police detective investigates the murders of Jack the Ripper. This film is actually based on a letter that received to the real Jack the Ripper case with every details about the infamous murder he or she has committee, This is a well made film with creepy atmosphere and the look of the film it give you shiver down your back and the acting is great.
8.Eat Prey Love

A married woman realizes how unhappy her marry really is, and that her life needs to go in a different direction. After a painful divorce, she takes off on around the world journey to find herself. This film is based on a memoir of a real-life person named Elizabeth Gilbert who actually did this in real life, this is a soulful and a beautiful tale of one-woman journey throughout her life, it is generally moving and the acting is superb.
7.Eddie The Eagle

The story of Eddie Edwards, the notoriously tenacious British underdog ski jumper who charmed the world at the 1988 Winter Olympics. This film is based on a real life icon of Michael Edwards who born in 5/12/1963 and this is the life story of him, this is charming, witty and generally funny film that ring true because the message of this film is chasing your dream and don’t give up in life, I can connect with this film and the acting and the chemistry are superb.
6.The Pursuit Of Happiness

A struggling salesman takes custody of his son as he’s poised to begin a life – changing professional career. This film actually based on a real-life person who named Chris Gardner who published his autobiography on May 23rd, 2006, he is becoming an associate producer on the main film. I can connect with this film as it about not giving up in life and be positive and focus on his son and I found it compelling and soulful and you generally care for those people.
5.United 93

A real time account of the events on United 93, one of the planes hijacked on September 11th, 2001 that crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania when passengers and the plane staff try to foil the terrorist plot. This film actually based on the real-life event of a scheduled passengers flight as it part of the September 11 attacks, I found this highly compelling and generally gripping from start to finish as the acting is truly remarkable. Paul Greengrass recapture the final moment and the look of it like a found footage film.
4.The Danish Girl

A fictitious love story loosely inspired by the lives of Danish artist Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener. Lili and Gerda’s marriage and work evolve as they navigate Lili’s ground-breaking journey as a transgender pioneer. This film actually based on a real-life transgender person named Lili Elbe who was the first person who get sex – reassignment surgery, this providing of a major film. This is moving, beautiful and a soulful film, I can connect with this as it about appearances and being accepted and beautifully acted.
3.Goodbye Christopher Robin

The relationship between writer AA Milne and his son, Christopher Robin, and how this became the inspiration for Winnie The Pooh. This film actually based on a biograph by Ann Thwaite was the inspiration for this film, I found this film generally moving and sincerity and beautifully acted in this well-made tale. It one of those film that you can look back in time and you can remember it.
2.Theory Of Everything

A look at the relationship between the famous physicist Stephen Hawking and his wife, throughout his life he overcome so many obstacles. This film actually based on Stephen Hawking first wife Jane Hawking’s book Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen, This is an extraordinary film with superb acting and I can connect with the message in this film.
1.The Impossible

The story of a tourist family in Thailand caught in the destruction and chaotic aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, this film is actually based on the real-life family of Maria Belon and their experience of it. This is an captivating and also an extraordinary tale of a family that never giving up and keep searching as they split up but they are so determined to find each other, with a poignancy ending and I know certain bits are hard to watched but the sheer beauty and the cinematographer are amazing, the acting is amazing and the story telling is spectacular.
There’s quite a few there that look interesting and I haven’t seen Mark. Thanks for the suggestions. I would also recommend:
Peterloo, The Charge of the Light Brigade, and Waterloo for the social background that they give rather than the main battle scenes.
Also The Madness of King George and The Favourite for interesting insights to two monarchs.
