An interesting and wide selection Mark. I know some of them but not all of them. I could add a few selections:
1. Ry Cooder did some great soundtracks for films, especially Crossroads.
2. The first Batman film in 1989 has a great soundtrack.
3. The Cabaret soundtrack evokes the atmosphere of 1930s Berlin.
4. Henry Mancini did some great soundtrack music, icluding The Pink Panther and Peter Gunn.
5. And not forgetting Ennio Morricone.
