The two best special agents in the Wild West must save President Grant from the clutches of a diabolical, wheelchair – bound, steampunk – savvy, Confederate scientist bent on revenge for losing the Civil War. This is a tongue in cheek take on a western film and I know people slaughter this film, it has got great chemistry with Will Smith and Kevin Kline and the funky soundtrack to this film. It will divided people of some like it and some not but it is great fun with funny one liner, in this fun and action packed with good intentioned of a film.

9.Shanghai Noon

A Chinese man travels to the Wild West to rescue a kidnapped Princess. After teaming up with a train robber, the unlikely duo takes on a Chinese traitor and his corrupt boss. A fun but dumb comedy that these two certainly match very well and especially once you watch this film you will be having a good time, it is sheer entertaining with amazing stunts in this rousing romp style of a film.

8.3.10 To Yuma

A small – time rancher agrees to hold a captured outlaw who’s awaiting a train to go to court in Yuma. A battle of wills ensures as the outlaw tries to psych out the rancher. Too be honest with you I haven’t see this film for ages but I still remember it, it is so convincing especially the acting with a brilliant story and it is so memorable that you can revisit this film as it is a really good and solid plus an unpredictable film.

7.True Grit

A stubborn teenager enlists the help of a tough U.S Marshal to track down her father’s murderer. This film got well known faces and recognisable cast as well and this is the first ever film that Hailee Steinfeld star in and she is so talented in a thoughtful story that is so engrossing from start to finish in this gripping film.

6.Free State Of Jones

A disillusioned Confederate army deserter returns to Mississippi and leads a militia of fellow deserters and women in an uprising against the corrupt local Confederate government. This is based on a true story that it has got a good cast and the good thing is, it didn’t rely on the main lead as the supporting cast is excellent especially Gugu Mbatha – Raw as she is silently really good and fit the part really well. The final third of this film is generally really moving and poignancy at the same time and that what made this film really good.

5.The Rider

After suffering a near fatal head injury, a young cowboy undertakes a search for new identity and what it means to be a man in the heartland of America. In this generally moving film that it feel fresh and new and it totally a sincere story that you care about with these likeable characters and the acting is spot on with great scenery and make use of the location, that made this a really good film that bring you a crowd-pleasing promising debut of Chloe Zhao as a major talent as a film director.

4.The Revenant

A frontiersman on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s fight for survival after being mauled by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. Stunning cinematography with strong acting made this suspense of a film, it not for the faint hearted but if you get past this it is definitely gripping from start to finished and it is utterly compelling at the same time in this watchable film.

3.True History Of The Kelly Gang

Based on Peter Carey’s novel. The story of Australian bushranger Ned Kelly and his gang as they flee from authorities during the 1870s. I was totally surprised by this film as it is effective and totally memorable with a catchy score, all the well-known people in this film are really good and it can be really hard to watch but this surprisingly good film that give you something new and fresh with a great premise and overall this is definitely an underrated film that you should checked out.

Zorro (1998 – 2005)

A young thief, seeking revenge for the death of his brother, is trained by the once great, but aged Zorro, who also purses vengeance of his own. In the second film he trying to keep his swashbuckling to a minimum and also being there for his family. Both films are really exciting and epic at the same time and guarantee you a fun time with eccentric bunch of characters and it is really funny in enjoyable and entertaining film.

1.Rango

Rango is an ordinary chameleon who accidentally winds up in the town of Dirt, a lawless outpost in the Wild West in desperate need of a new sheriff. The reason why I picked this film as my number one is I personally connect with the message because it about someone who trying to be someone else and he learn along the way of being true to yourself, the voice casting is spot on and it is just heartfelt and beautiful at the same time and it is funny and well intentioned as well, this definitely suitable for a family viewing that everyone will like this.
