10.The Goonies

A group of young misfits called The Goonies discover an ancient map and set out on an adventure to find a legendary pirate’s long – lost treasure. That was the first film that I ever watched and it has a massive influence on me, that’s how I got into films and I just love the peril and a really good story that is fill with the mystery and the excitement that I have with this film. The cast is excellent with great chemistry in this fun filled film.
9.Eddie The Eagle

The story of Eddie Edwards, the notoriously tenacious British underdog ski jumper who charmed the world at the 1988 Winter Olympic. I just like the message of this film as it about chasing your dream and don’t give up and getting through obstacles in your life, I’m not normally a massive fan of Taron Egerton but he is so good as the role and he is totally unrecognizable. It is cheesy but also a likeable film as well, it certainly an uplifting tale.
8.The Greatest Showman

Celebrates the birth of show business and tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worthwhile sensation Some people who are less keen on musical but this one is different, it has a historical aspect of it mixed in with a load of catchy songs and generally feel good. I personally love it because of character development and you can connect with them in this rip – roaring feel good of a film.
7.The Call Of The Wild

As the great Klondike Gold Rush is attracting both ambitious treasure hunters and bold adventurers to the unforgiving territories of Canada’s late – 1890s Yukon, Buck, a pampered St. Bernard – Scotch Collie dog, finds himself without a master in a frozen new world. This film have got majestic cinematography with great scenery as I normally like looking to the sky and I know it is slightly weird. It has got a beautiful story and convincing acting as well, with a cute dog.
6.Hugo

In 1931 Paris, an orphan living in the walls of a train station gets wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton. A beautiful film with an exquisite story that bring a magical tale of loneliness and a beautiful cinematography, I just like it as it is just uplifting and very character driven with a feel-good type of vibe and it is generally funny as well, in this soul-searching film.
5.Ferdinand

After Ferdinand, a bull with a big heart, is mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure. With a bunch of eccentric characters with full of heart in a sincere tale of being different and just be true to yourself, I totally love the message in this film and I can connect with this film a lot. The voice casting is perfect and especially David Tennant as he is so hilarious and I definitely prefer this than the Ice Age and Rio films.
4.Earth To Echo

After receiving a bizarre series of encrypted messages, a group of kids embark on an adventure with an alien who needs their help. Superbly made film that is so enchanted from start to finish in this found footage coming of age film, the non-professional cast are excellent in this poignancy and moving with a memorable ending as it is like a mixture of The Goonies meet with ET and that is the reason why I personally love it, in this underrated and a gem of a film.
3.Paddington (2014 – 2017)

Paddington having settled with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens, has become popular in his community, offering people emotional support in various ways. Majestic and beautifully made with a hint of comedy that certainly laugh out load funny plus with a brilliant story, which is suitable for families and kids alike. I just the Paddington as a character as he sort of like an idiot but well-meaning and willing to help people in his own way, in a likeable film.
2.Monster University

A look at the relationship between Mike Wazowski and James P. “Sully” Sullivan during their days at Monster University, When they weren’t necessarily the best of friends. Perfect voice casting with comic timing which made this really funny alongside with colourful characters in this film, one of the funniest scenes is when Mike and Sully in the park playing hide seek with their new friends and the whole concept is certainly laugh out loud funny which I personally found it absolutely hilarious and it is a major highlight in this sweet nature and a family’s film.
1.My Octopus Teacher

A filmmaker forges an unusual friendship with an octopus living in a south African kelp forest, learning as the animal shares the mysteries of her world. I picked this film as my number one because it is simply different, fresh and something new plus breathtakingly good, they certainly made use of the location and the underwater shot which is unbelievable amazing. It is so moving and really uplifting and you actually feel for both of them, everyone should watch this masterpiece as I totally love it from the first frame and it is so good in this lesser-known film.
