A young boy stumbles onto a witch convention and must stop them, even after he has turned into a mouse. Fantastic, good looking film which certainly a magnificent watched in this engrossing film, not exactly for the younger little children but you can’t fault the film in whole as Anjelica Houston is amazing and perfectly sinister as the Grand High Witch, there is some comedy element from Rowan Atkinson, in this superbly made film.
9.School Of Rock
After being kicked out of his rock band, Dewey Finn becomes a substitute teacher at an uptight elementary private school, only to try and turn his class into a rock band. A light-hearted non offensive film that is like marmite as some people don’t like it and some do like it, I personally love it because it is well intentioned and I’m a sucker of an underdog type of film and Jack Black so perfect in this role, it is one of those film that is suitable for all ages.
8.Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory
A poor but hopeful boy seeks one of the five coveted golden tickets that will send him on a tour of Willy Wonka’s mysterious chocolate factory. Too be honest with you back then I wasn’t appreciate with films, looking back now I really like it as it got a load of catchy songs and I personally love Pure Imagination as it is a beautiful song. It is colourful in an old school style which work really well and Gene Wilder is perfect as Willy Wonka and it certainly capture your imagination.
A group of young misfits called The Goonies discover an ancient map and set out on an adventure to find a legendary pirate’s long – lost treasure. This is one of my favourite golden oldies as I love it as a child and I still love it even now, it is exciting and a thrill ride type of film as all people like a good old fashion adventure film which bring a coming-of-age tale of your childhood and people will love this film
6.Zathura: A Space Adventure
Two young brothers are drawn into an intergalactic adventure when their house is hurled through the depths of space by the magical board game they are playing. It is one of those film that will entertained you from start to finish, in this thrilling, action – packed, fun and generally heartfelt film that is perfect for a family viewing. The casting is spot on with a brilliant story that will capture people heart.
When two kids find and play a magical board game, they release a man trapped in it for decades – and an honest of dangers that can only be stopped by finishing the game. It will give you rip roaring of a good time that will bring you a magnificent viewing as it is sheer entertaining throughout this film, Robin Williams is perfect in his role especially with the comic timing and funny one liner and this film automatically drawn you in from the first frame, in this exciting film.
4.The Call Of The Wild
As the great Klondike Gold Rush is attracting both ambitious treasure hunters and bold adventurers to the unforgiving territories of Canada’s late – 1890s Yukon, Buck, a pampered St. Bernard – Scotch Collie dog, finds himself without a master in a frozen new world. Magnificent cinematography with a timeless story, that made a perfect film for all ages, in this gripping and a sincere tale that take you on a journey through a dog eyes in this superbly made film.
A rather neurotic ant tries to break from his totalitarian society while trying to win the affection of the princess he loves. Definitely one of the nicest animation films which is just cute with colourful characters with a top-notch voice cast that bring you witty, funny, charming and generally uplifting film, simple storytelling which is the key and it might be rather dated for some people but you can’t fault the ambitious and the visual effect is outstanding in this exciting and a really cute film.
In 1931 Paris, an orphan living in the walls of a train station gets wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton. Too be honest with you I’m not normally a massive Martin Scorsese fan but this film change my mind, it is so good and you get wrapped up with all the key characters and it is pure escapism and generally heartfelt that you actually care about with these people which is perfectly crafted in this sincere tale.
Barry B Benson graduates from college and is now working at Honex. And then, when he flies outside the hive, he meets a human florist from New York City named Vanessa Bloom. And suddenly, Barry finds out humans eat honey, he plans to sue them. The reason why I picked this film first it has an important message of be yourself and try to find yourself in a world which I personally connect to this message, it has a brilliant story and the cinematography is astonishing and the vocal talent is superb in a well-intentioned film.
