10.Yogi Bear

A documentary filmmaker travels to Jellystone Park to shoot a project and soon crosses paths with Yogi Bear, his sidekick Boo – Boo and Ranger Smith. It will certainly divided people as some like it and some might not but I personally love it as it is well intentioned, Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake are perfect and their chemistry is really good and that what made this film, it is well casted especially the supporting casting, it is a really cute film.

9.Racing Stripes

An abandoned zebra grows up believing he is a racehorse, and with the help of his barnyard friends and a teenage girl, sets out to achieve his dream of racing with thoroughbreds. A well-meaning film that has got a star-studded vocal talent and they certainly got great comic timing, I really like the message of believe in yourself and trying to fit in which I personally connect to and it is a heartfelt film.

8.Cats & Dogs (2001 – 2010)

The on – going war between the canine and feline species is put on hold when they join forces to thwart a rogue cat spy with her own sinister plans for conquest. Action packed with cute looking animals and it got a load of well-known voices with snappy one liner, it is well made and the visual is out of this world in a light-hearted with pure of escapism, that is the key to this film.

7.Dr Dolittle (1998 – 2008)

Dr John Dolittle has the world in his hands: A beautiful wife at his side, two adorable daughters and a career that could not go better, He discover that he can hear animals thought while he was young. Definitely laugh out loud moments in this collection of films as they are consistent, the casting and the vocal talent certainly hit the spot. It has got an easy-to-follow story that is so simple and it is very charming and sweet nature at the same time.

  6.Over The Hedge

A scheming raccoon fools a mismatched family of forest creatures into helping him replay a debt of food. I’m not normally a massive fan of Bruce Willis but this animation show his vocal talent as it got an all – star cast, you don’t needed to be a foodie fan as it is really funny with a bunch of eccentric colourful characters. It is really heart-warming and you will lap it up with cute looking animals and the food look really delicious.

5.We Bought A Zoo

Set in Southern California, a father moves his young family to the countryside to renovate and re – open a struggling zoo. People didn’t know that this film is actually based on a true story and it is one of those film that is so touching, it will touch people heart as it is so uplifting and relatable. A brilliant story and the acting is so convincing especially with the kids as they are believable, in a light – hearted and a beautiful tale of adolescents in a superb film.

4.Charlotte’s Web

Wilbur the pig is scared of the end of the season, because he knows that comes that time, he will end up on the dinner. He hatches a plan with Charlotte, a spider that lives in his pen, to ensure that this will never happen. Superbly made film that is suitable for teenagers and kids in a cute and a likeable story which is really engrossing, it is one those film that blended life lesson and it basically about growing up and let people just love you as you are.

3.Homeward Bound (1993 – 1996)

Shadow, Sassy and Chance are back! It’s been three years since their trek through the woods and over mountains. Now the family lives in San Francisco and they’re taking a vacation in Canada. Both films are pure classic and you can revisit these films as it is so good and the cinematography is outstanding, you actually care about with these characters.

2.My Octopus Teacher

A filmmaker forges an unusual friendship with an octopus living in a South African kelp forest, learning as the animal shares the mysteries of her world. One of the best documentaries that I ever witness as it is profoundly moving and touching, it is so relatable and I personally connect with this as it about a usual friendship. The underwater scenes is wowed and with the best cinematography and the pacing is right, this will become a cult classic in the future.

1.Zootropolis

In a city of anthropomorphic animals, a rookie bunny cop and a cynical con artist fox must work together to uncover a conspiracy. The reason why I picked this film as my number one it because it is inoffensive really nice film as it like a whodunnit murder mystery type of film with a hint of coming of age, which work really well and it is really funny and with great vocal talent with an all – star cast and they bring great comic timing. It definitely suitable for a family viewing and all ages will fallen in love with this underrated film.

  1. I’ve not really thought about this genre before, but thinking about it Lassie Come Home and The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin must have been two of the earliest films that I saw.
