Top 10 Worst Movie Remakes

10.Dredd

In a violent, futuristic city where the police have the authority to act as judge, jury and executioner, a cop teams with a trainee to take down a gang that deals the reality – altering drug, SLO – MO. It certainly over the top with nonstop action and with really excessive violence that is hard to watch, definitely with no story and no character development that made this less entertaining. It too cringy and with just okay performances that will certainly pull you off with this film.

9.Pinocchio

Old woodcarver Geppetto’s puppet creation, Pinocchio, magically comes to life with dreams of becoming a real boy. Easily led astray, Pinocchio tumbles from one misadventure to another as he is tricked, kidnapped and chased by bandit. Don’t bother with this whatsoever as this version is far too weird, it not quite for the youngsters as the make up is quite terrifying and it certainly not enchanting enough as this is too dark.

8.Ghostbusters

Following a ghost invasion of Manhattan, paranormal enthusiasts Erin Gilbert and Abby Yates, nuclear engineer Jillian Holtzmann, and subway worker Patty Tolan band together to stop the otherworldly threat. One of those film that on paper is a really good idea but it turn out to be a failure, it is completely wrong with no chemistry between the four lead and it is totally unfunny and with CGI/SFX that made this less enjoyable.

7.Pan

An orphan boy discovers his destiny as Peter Pan in this vividly realized fantasy, and is whisked away to an enchanted land to battle the fearsome pirate Blackbeard. Well it doesn’t really capture that magic and it doesn’t thrilled you whatsoever, Hugh Jackman is not sinister or scary at all as he is too nice as the villain. It is one of those film that doesn’t drawn you in from the start.

6.Ghost In The Shell

In the near future, Major Mira Killian is the first of her kind: A human saved from a terrible crash, who is cyber – enhanced to be a perfect soldier devoted to stopping the world’s most dangerous criminals. Some of the futuristic films can be really good and it entertained people, but this one is the weakest and it not quite there as this film is too up and down and it is patches and it not as thrilling at the same time.

5.Charlie And The Chocolate Factory

A young boy wins a tour through the most magnificent chocolate factory in the world, led by the world’s most unusual candy maker. This one is struggling with the darker aspect and the lighter moment in this film, it is not really suitable for the younger generation with a story that is mainly for adult than kids. Johnny Depp not really capture that quirkiness with the likes of Gene Wilder as he is far more superior, the soundtrack isn’t up there whereas with the original.

4.Mary Poppins Returns

A few decades after her original visit, Mary Poppins, the magical nanny, returns to help the Banks siblings and Michael’s children through a difficult time in their lives. Glamorous looking film that lacking that magic and the tunes simply not memorable whatsoever, too be honest with you I only seen certain bits of the original ones and this version is too safe and rather unoriginal.

3.Aladdin

A kind – hearted street urchin and a power – hungry Grand Vizier vie for a magic lamp that has the power to make their deepest wishes come true. Aladdin is one of those film that can’t be remade at all, I’m sure Guy Ritchie is a good director but he certainly struggle with a perfect Disney film and Will Smith role is too cringy as the Genie. The main theme tune isn’t the same as the original one, definitely one of the weakest Disney remake.

2.The Lion King

After the murder of his father, a young lion prince flees his kingdom only to learn the meaning of responsibility and bravery. Normally with a live – action film it should be engrossing and beautiful to look at, it definitely not moving whatsoever and the music from this film is nowhere near to the original film. You don’t really care about with these characters at all and it not hardly sincere at all, definitely a massive let down.

1.The Witches

In late 1967, goes to live with his loving grandma in the rural Alabama town of Demopolis. As the boy and his grandmother encounter some deceptively glamorous but thoroughly diabolical witches, she wisely whisks him away to a seaside resort. Being a Robert Zemeckis film I was deeply disappointed as he is normally very consistent, the transformation of Grand High Witch is nothing as it doesn’t stand out and Anne Hathaway didn’t really match Anjelica Huston. The acting is okay and it takes itself too seriously and it ending up a complete mess.
