10.Night At The Museum (History)

A newly recruited night security guard at the Museum Of Natural History discovers that an ancient curse causes the animals and exhibits on display to come to life, with all of these important iconic historical figures. Very funny and glorious looking film, which is well intentioned with an all-star cast, I’m not normally a massive Ben Stiller fan but with these film he work CGI/SFX and he using his charisma which work really well, it still a really entertaining film from start to finish.

9.Up In The Air (Business Study)

Ryan Bingham flies around the county firing people. He’s good at his job and is constantly in the air flying from one city to another. He’s also an accumulator of frequent flyer miles and has a goal. Warm, clever and witty comedy drama which is a crowd pleaser and the acting is just perfect, it might not be for everyone but it still heart warming and really nice. At least this film try to be something different which I really admire.

8.Hidden Figures (Mathematicians)

The story of a team of female African – American mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the U.S. space program. A beautiful and moving account of a film which based on a true story, it is one of those film that is utterly compelling and it just drawn you in automatically, a brilliant story that certainly made this so engrossing to watch.

7.School Of Rock (Music)

After being kicked out of his rock band, Dewey Finn becomes a substitute teacher at an uptight elementary private school, only to try and turn his class into a rock band. I definitely love a perfect underdog type of film and this film will certainly put a smile on people faces an easy-to-follow story that bring out your inner piece in this pure escapism film.

6.Interstellar (Physics)

A team of explores travel through a wormhole in space in an attempt to ensure humanity’s survival. Christopher Nolan is always consistent with his film as he is a brilliant director and Interstellar is certainly out there, I also like the look of this film as it is majestic and the storytelling is outstanding. It is one of those film that will made you think and the pacing is just right, gorgeous looking film that is so good and it is so watchable.

5.Eddie The Eagle (Sports)

In 1973, ten years old Eddie Edwards dreams of Olympic glory, practicing in various Olympic events and filing miserably, he gives up his dream of participating in the Summer Games in favour of skilling in the Winter Games. Definitely a feel good and a pick me up type of film and it is just a really nice film, it is uplifting in a crowd-pleasing film that everybody will like this film with a likeable lead.

4.Eat Pray Love (Geography)

Liz Gilbert risking everything to change her life, embarking on a journey around the world that becomes a quest for self – discovery, in her travels. Life affirming film that will people connect to and it is a film that I actually adore because of that reason, with stunning scenery and with the acting that made this film so good and also ring true to so many people.

3.Inside Out (Social Science/Human Body)

After young Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life and moved to San Francisco, her emotions – Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness – conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house, and school. Fantastic looking film which is like a coming-of-age film that is so poignancy and thought provoking, it is funny with pure escapism and this is a beautiful film that will touch people heart.

2.Crip Camp (Politics)

Down the road from Woodstock, a revolution blossomed at a ramshackle summer camp for teenagers with disabilities, transforming their lives and igniting a landmark movement. With a sincere documentary that will divided people, I personally love it as it ring true to me and I actually connect to this beautiful documentary. The first half is character study and the second half is very political and that does work really well in an Oscar winning film that should get more recognition.

1.Ratatouille (Life Skills)

Remy a rat who can cook makes an unusual alliance with a young kitchen worker at a famous restaurant. Technically this film is actually about life skilled in generally as it about cooking, meeting new people and challenge yourself, also finding a place in this world and just be yourself and I’m sure people will love this film and also connect with this PIXAR film. It is likeable enough with easy charm in this memorable film.

  1. Interesting category Mark. We could add one just for teachers and that would have to be Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society. If you haven’t seen it (because it is before your time) add it to your must watch list.
