Upcoming Film: Eternals (2021)
I would have to agree with Chloe Zhao being one of the best directors around. I would have to nominate The Rider as her best film to date though.
And I would have to add Christopher Nolan to my list as I did not include him last time. An oversight.
I also can’t believe that I missed out Orson Wells last time. Following on from him I would have to include Carol Reed if only for The Third Man, which starred Orson Wells.
And I can’t miss out John Huston a second time. So many great films – The Maltese Falcon, Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Key Largo, The Asphalt Jungle, The African Queen, The Man Who would be King, Annie – the list goes on and on, and so many different styles.
Then there’s David Lean – another great British director – Lawrence of Arabia, Bridge on the River Kwai, Doctor Zhivago, Brief Encounter, A Passage to India and many other great films.
