10.Terminator 2: Judgment Day

A cyborg, identical to the one who failed to kill Sarah Connor, must now protect her ten-year-old son, John Connor, from a more advanced and powerful cyborg. With brilliant visual effect and the soundtrack made this film ultra-cool and the way it look, a perfect sinister villain and the storytelling made this film generally thrilling with a thrill ride type of film, it is well made in this enjoyable film that is pure escapism.

9.Jurassic Park

A pragmatic palaeontologist visiting an almost complete theme park is tasked with protecting a couple of kids after a power failure causes the park’s cloned dinosaurs to run loose. It might be rather dated now but it is pure classic and just forget with certain grim bits in this film, it is one of those film that is so watchable and it just drawn you in from start to finish.

8.Die Hard

An NYPD officer tries to save his wife and several others taken hostage by German terrorists during a Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles. Action packed with unbelievable set pieces and it has got a brilliant and very cynical villain, it is such a shame that Alan Rickman died and it is definitely one of the best Bruce Willis film.

 7.Batman

After a young boy witnesses his parents’ murder on the streets of Gotham City, he grows up to become the batman – a mysterious figure in the eyes of Gotham’s citizens – who takes crime – fighting into his own hands. From the very first one of the chapters that spawned numerous films of Batman, it is one of the best action film with a star – studded cast.

6.Speed

A young police officer must prevent a bomb exploding aboard a city bus by keeping its speed above 50mph. Generally exciting and fun in this cheesy action film that it has got a fantastic cast, the main two lead got chemistry and that work really well, Dennis Hopper is certainly terrifying as the villain and it is such a shame that he died as he is brilliant. The film in whole is definitely memorable and it is well casted.

5.Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom

In 1935, Indiana Jones arrives in India, still part of the British Empire, and is asked to find a mystical stone. He then stumbles upon a secret cult committing enslavement and human sacrifices in the catacombs of an ancient palace. Everyone like a good Steven Spielberg film and this won’t disappointed you whatsoever, it is a cult classic film that you will be entertained and with superb set pieces made this film so memorable.

4.GoldenEye

Years after a friend and fellow 00 agent is killed on a joint mission, a secret space-based weapons program known as “GoldenEye” is stolen. James Bond sets out to stop a Russian crime syndicate from using the weapon. One of the best Pierce Brosnan film that is so gripping and really exciting at the same time, it is one of those action film that you always remember.

3.The River Wild

Gail is a professional at water rafting. She takes on her family on a rafting trip down the river, but she has no idea that the planned trip is about to become a nightmare. Magnificent, tense, unpredictable and with an all – star cast that certainly bring you a brilliant film, the good thing about this film it is a lesser – known one that is surprisingly fun and you will enjoyed this film.

2.Air Force One

Communist Radicals hijack Air Force One with The U.S. President and his family on board. The Vice President negotiates from Washington DC, while the President, a veteran, fights to rescue the hostages on board. Personally one of my favourite action film as it is truly action – packed and with a likeable lead, it has got a good story and it is well casted

1.Daylight

Disaster in a New York tunnel as explosions collapse both ends of it. Our hero tries to help the people inside find their way to safety. The reason why this film is my number one it has all the element of a perfect film, I’m not normally a massive fan of Sylvester Stallone but he is very likeable and he is well suited for this film, the film in whole is a fantastic and a tense ride that is good so and it is so watchable.

  1. We have different ideas about what constitutes an “oldie” action film. Here are some of my choices:
    War movies – The Dirty Dozen, Where Eagles Dare, Guns of Navaronne,
    Westerns – The Good The Bad and the Ugly, A Man called Horse, Dances with Wolves, Little Big Man, Soldier Blue
