Salmon Fishing In The Yemen

A fisheries expert is approached by a consultant to help realize a sheik’s vision of bringing the sport of fly – fishing to the desert and embarks on the upstream journey of faith and fish to prove the impossible possible. I really wanted to like this film and it is my type of genre, unfortunately the story is thinly plotted and it feel forced as well, to be fair with Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt really trying their best, it definitely not memorable enough.

The Hero Of Colour City

A colourful and diverse band of crayons strive to protect their magical, multi – hued homeland from an evil tyrant that threatens to rid their world of joy and colour. An interesting story that is so different and I really admire that, but it mainly aim at pre-schoolers and it not really suitable for a family film as it struggles of which audience. The characters not so memorable and it’s not funny whatsoever, it also take itself too seriously and this film does not deliver at all.

Frantz

In the aftermath of WWII, a young German who grieves the death of her fiancé in France meets a mysterious Frenchman who visits the fiancé’s grave to lay flowers. This could have been amazing and really poignancy but it ended up a complete mess, it is too safe and it doesn’t hold your interest at all and the acting is just average and it is so disappointing has it got potential, it is such a shame about this film.

Where’d You Go, Bernadette

A loving mom becomes compelled to reconnect with her creative passions after years of sacrificing herself for her family. Her leap of faith takes her on an adventure that jump – starts her life and leads to her triumphant rediscovery. Where do I start with this film as it got a good cast but it is too quirky and too different and for me personally it ruined this film, it is rather silly and it is totally unfunny and it doesn’t change your life whatsoever and you ended up with this film.

Greenland

John Garrity, his estranged wife and their young son embark on a perilous journey to find sanctuary as a planet – killing comet hurtles toward Earth. I’m really into disasters film so I thought this would be amazing, it definitely not whatsoever as it can’t decided of which genre as it try to be a drama and a disasters film at the same time which is very confusing. Some of the acting is just average and I found the two parents rather dull and all the adult in this film, the only good thing in this film is the kid Roger Dale Floyd is outstanding.

Postman Pat The Movie

Success and frame threaten to tear Postman Pat away from his beloved Greendale. Meanwhile, a sinister plot emerges to replace him with legions of robots. Too be honest with you it was surprisingly good and really heartfelt and funny at the same time, I also like the message of don’t let fame get to your head and be an individuals and just remember the people who actually be there for you. The voice cast is really good and it might not reach new height but it is well intentioned.

Chef

A head chef quits his restaurant job and buys a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while piecing back together his estranged family. A beautiful coming of age and a road movie is full of heart, it is moving and poignancy with some funny moment and it is well casted. It like a father and son relationship that worked really well in a sincere film that is like a travelogue of American places alongside with delicious food and it just a feel-good film that will capture people heart and I fully recommended it, it might be rough around the edges but it has got a brilliant story.
