The Lord of the Rings trilogy – perhaps the greatest journey of all time, real or imagined.
Jason and the Argonauts – a fantastic journey and a great story with Ray Harryhausen effects.
The Indiana Jones series – all the films include great journeys.
Easy Rider – one of the great American on the road films and a great soundtrack
Planes Trains and Automobiles – one of the funniest journeys ever
The straight Story – has to be the only film about a journey on a lawnmower!
Road to Rio – one of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby’s road trip films
And especially for you – Y Tu Mama Tambien – an on the road coming of age film
