2.A Quiet Place

In a post – apocalyptic world, a family is forced to live in silence while hiding from monsters with ultra – sensitive hearing. Firstly the first hour of this film is definitely tense, unpredictable, spooky and with creepy atmosphere, the second hour is utterly gripping and this film will blow you away in this lesser-known film that is so effective.

1.The Secret Of Marrowbone

In 1960s rural America, a young man and his three younger siblings, who have kept secret the death of their beloved mother in order to remain together, are plagued by a sinister presence in the sprawling manor in which they live. The reason why this is my number one it has got a psychological edge mixed in with a fabled ghost story that is so engrossing, it also have a brilliant twist that is so unexpected in this surprisingly well – made film.

  1. I agree with you about the Secret of Marrowbone being a great story with an unusual twist.
This is not a genre that I know a lot about but I can make one suggestion – Braindead directed by Peter Jackson, best known for The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and King Kong. This was an early film he did that has the reputation of being the bloodiest films ever made, and is also a bit of a comedy.
