10.The Life Ahead

In seaside Italy, a Holocaust survivor with a day-care business takes in a 12 years old street kid who recently robbed her. Beautifully made film, which is honest, raw, moving and generally sincere. The acting is absolutely amazing and with beautiful scenery that made you wanted to go to Italy, overall this film is poignancy and it is totally memorable.
9.News Of The World

A Civil War veteran agrees to deliver a girl, taken by the Kiowa people years ago, to her aunt and uncle, against her will. They travel hundreds of miles and face grave dangers as they search for a place that either can call home. As always Tom Hanks is consistent and also Paul Greengrass as them two made superb film together, especially this one has got a brilliant story and it is certainly well – made.
8.My Octopus Teacher

A filmmaker forges an unusual friendship with an octopus living in a south African kelp forest, learning as the animal shares the mysteries of her world. It is one of those documentary that made you feel calm and relaxation, it is simply breath-taking and it is so watchable and the underwater sequences is truly spectacular, it will leaves you a lasting impression on you.
7.Arrival

A linguist works with the military to communicate with alien lifeforms after twelve mysterious spacecraft appear around the world. Highly compelling, surreal, weird, and thought-provoking film that will made you think, it is totally believable and with astonishing CGI/SFX and that what made this film so special.
6.Crip Camp

Down the road from Woodstock, a revolution blossomed at a ramshackle summer camp for teenagers with disabilities, transforming their lives and igniting a landmark movement. Everything about this documentary ticked all the boxes, the first half is characters driven and the second half got the political aspect, it is truly poignancy and moving at the same time and it is beautiful.
5.Ex Machina

A young programmer is selected to participate in a ground – breaking experiment in synthetic intelligence by evaluating the human qualities of a highly advanced humanoid A.I. Definitely one of the best science fiction film, as this one got a superb twist and it is generally unnerving, tense, unpredictable and highly compelling. It is thought provoking and it has got a smaller budget as this film got three main characters, it also believable and it is so watchable.
4.The Woman In The Window

An agoraphobic woman living alone in New York begins spying on her new neighbours, only to witness a disturbing act of violence. Surprisingly this is really good as people constantly slaughter this film, it also drawn you in from start to finish as this is really clever and Amy Adams so convincing, overall this film is remarkable and it does made you think at the same time.
3.Spirit: Stallion Of The Cimarron

A wild stallion is captured by humans and slowly loses the will to resist training, yet, throughout his struggles for freedom, the stallion refuses to let go of the hope of one day returning home to his herd. This is the type of film that will made you feel calm and relaxation as it is easy to watch and follow, the vocal is extraordinary in a quietly powerful film that will capture people heart.
2.The Water Man

A boy sets out on a quest to save his ill mother by searching for a mythic figure said to have magical healing powers. With being a first-time director in David Oyelowo made this magnificent adventure film, it is truly epic and with the casting is brilliant in their roles and this is silently moving and poignancy, it also worthwhile your attention and it is a gem of a film.
1.The Mitchells Vs The Machines

A quirky, dysfunctional family’s road trip is upended when they find themselves in the middle of the robot apocalypse and suddenly become humanity’s unlikeliest last hope. Yes this might be nearly two hours and it might be slightly full on for the younger generations, but this is so different and totally unique which is refreshing to see, it is funny with comic one liners and overall it deal with growing up, this is so memorable and it will leaves you a lasting impression on you.
This list reminds me that I have got Netflix, but I’m obviously not making the best use of it as the only films I have seen on this list are those that I have seen at the cinema.
