  1. A good selection of films Mark, but I’m not sure I would watch School of Rock, and Indiana Jones to calm down. Some suggestions from me would be:
Being There – Peter Sellers last film is a masterpiece
The Big Lebowski – Coen Brothers films are always great but this one has the most laid back character.
Straight Story – a very different David Lynch
Crumb – documentary about the comic book artist Robert Crumb directed by Terry Zwigoff
Ghost World – drama also directed by Terry Zwigoff
Paul Giamatti tends to play characters that have a calming influence on the story. My favourites are Sideways and American Splendor which includes Robert Crumb as a character
Jim Jarmusch usually directs laid back type of films. i would recommend Coffee and Cigarettes.
Errol Morris directs some great documentary films. Vernon Florida has to be the best that calms you right down and gets you into a different pace of life.
