10.A Boy Called Christmas

An ordinary boy sets out on an extraordinary adventure to find his father who is on a quest to discover the fabled village of Elfhelm. This is a perfect family film as it is one of those story that is easy to follow, it never get too overcomplicated with flashback and that work really well, it also got an all star cast for this film, this is a Christmas film and it certainly watchable from start to finish.

9.IT (2017)

In the summer of 1989, a group of bullied kids band together to destroy a shape – shifting monster, which disguises itself as a clown and preys on children of Derry, their small Maine town. Superbly made psychological horror film, it is one of those film that creep you under your skin and the acting is really convincing, the pacing is perfect as it certainly hold your interest, this is intriguing to watch.

8.Knight And Day

 June Havens, catches a plane to Boston. Then, out of the blue, she crosses paths with the handsome and charming stranger named Roy Miller, just like that, June’s life will never be the same again. Rip – roaring action film and if you really into them, this is ideal for you and the chemistry between the two lead is superb, it got amazing set pieces and this is so entertaining.

7.The Greatest Showman

Celebrates the birth of show business and tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation. Personally this is one of the best musical, which is a feel-good type of film, the songs are catchy and generally powerful plus the acting is really good, it is joyous and uplifting and it will pull a smile on people faces, this is definitely a rainy-day type of film.

6.Nomadland

A woman in her sixties, after losing everything in the Great Recession, embarks on a journey through the American West, living as a van – dwelling modern day nomad. Quietly effective film that will touch your heart, it also about choosing your own paths and don’t let anyone influence you as I connect with that message, I’m sure people will connect to that message just like me, it got stunning scenery and this is eye catching and it will leaves you a lasting impression on you.

5.The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

British retirees travel to India to take up residence in what they believe is a newly restored hotel. Less luxurious than advertised, the Marigold Hotel nevertheless slowly begins to charm in unexpected ways. With an all star cast that brim with comic one liner and this is the ultimate feel-good film, it is generally funny and it got stunning scenery, plus it is charming and easy to watch, this is beautiful and it is sincere and you actually care about with these characters.

4.A Monster Calls

A boy called Conor seeks the help of a tree monster to cope with his beloved mother Lizzie terminal illness. One of the best terminal illness film as with certain ones feel rather forced, but this one doesn’t do that as it mixed the drama with the fantasy element, that does work really well and this is totally convincing, this also about grief and that is an important subject for people and overall it is relatable and honest, it will moved you and this is totally memorable.

3.Kubo And The Two Strings

A young boy named Kubo must locate a magical suit of armour worn by his late father in order to defeat a vengeful spirit from the past. Majestic and beautiful animation film that will wowed you plus it is heartfelt, there are great characters and the ending is superb and it is poignancy and it will moved you, the vocal in this film are excellent and spot on and the story is superb as this is eye catching.

2.Hugo

1n 1931 Paris, an orphan living in the walls of a train station gets wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton. Not normally really into Martin Scorsese film but this is really good, it is one of those film that is so intriguing and this is a slow burner film that capture your imagination, this is totally memorable and the film itself look gorgeous in this old-fashioned type of film.

1.Lightyear

Legendary space ranger Buzz Lightyear embarks on an intergalactic adventure alongside ambitious recruits Izzy, Mo, Darby and his robot companion, Sox, to save their world. Definitely one of the animation film which actually surprised me, it got a multi-layered story and it will drawn you in and this is suitable for all ages, it is heartfelt and it will moved you as it got that emotional aspect and that is the key to this film, it is entertaining and overall this is likeable and it is pure escapism.
