10.Pokemon: Detective Pikachu

In a world where people collect Pokémon to do battle, a boy comes across an intelligent talking Pikachu who seeks to be a detective. This will definitely divided people as some will like this and some don’t, it also a mixture of genre as it is live action and it also an action film, the visual is outstanding, it is generally funny and the vocal in this film is excellent and overall it is exciting.

9.The Three Musketeers

D’Artagnan and the three musketeers must face off with the sinister Richlieu, The Duke of Buckingham and the traitorous Milady in order to stop France from attacking England. In some ways the good thing about this film is, it didn’t take itself too seriously, it also brim with comic one liner with an all star cast and the acting is convincing, this is fun and it is certainly action packed with a good story.

8.White House Down

While on a tour of the White House with his young daughter, a Capitol policeman springs into action to save his child and protect the president from a heavily armed group of paramilitary invaders. With a spot-on casting and with stunning set pieces, it is fun and predictable but it also got a likeable lead, and overall this is entertaining from start to finish in this well – made film.

7.In Time

In a future where people stop ageing after 25 and need to buy time to live, the rich become immortal while others cease to exist. So, Will is on the run with a hostage in a desperate bid to survive. A futuristic action film and the idea to this film is brilliant and it is totally different, it is gripping and it is certainly watchable, it is one of those film that will made you think.

6.The 355

When a top – secret weapon falls into mercenary hands, a wild card CIA agent joins forces with three international agents on a lethal mission to retrieve it, while staying a step ahead of a mysterious woman who’s tracking their every move. Feminism type of film and it is certainly action packed, it got an easy-to-follow story and it can be slightly predictable, overall it will draw you in.

5.Batman & Robin

Batman and Robin try to keep their relationship together even as they must stop Mr Freeze and Poison Ivy from freezing Gotham City. Personally I don’t really get the hate for this film as this got memorable villains, it is fun and it didn’t take itself too seriously and this is certainly entertaining from the start, it is colourful and zany and that is the key to this film as it is certainly well – made.

4.Knight And Day

June Havens, catches a plane to Boston. Then, out of the blue, she crosses paths with the handsome and charming stranger with the killer sense of humour, Roy Miller, and just like that, June’s life will never be the same again. Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise got excellent chemistry together and that work really well, this is a thrill ride type of film and this is definitely watchable.

3.Air Force One

Communist radicals hijack Air Force One with the U.S. President and his family on board. The Vice President negotiates from Washington D.C, while the president, a veteran, fights to rescue the hostages on board. Harrison Ford is likeable as his role and the villain in this film is perfectly sinister, this film keep you engrossing from start to finish, it is definitely the perfect action film.

2.Chaos Walking

Two unlikely companions embark on a perilous adventure through the Badlands of an unexplored planet as they try to escape a dangerous and disorienting reality where all thoughts are seen and heard by everyone. Definitely one of the best Tom Holland film as this is thought provoking and it also made you think, it never get too overcomplicated with the flashback element and the ending is fantastic, it is pure escapism and it is eye catching and overall this is so underrated.

1.Superman Returns

Upon his return to Earth, Superman must deal with heartbreak and put his powers to test once again to stop his greatest arch – nemesis. Lex Luthor, from gaining complete control of the world. Everything about this film certainly ticked all the boxes, it got an emotional aspect to this film and you actually care with these characters, it balance the action with the human element to this film, the pacing is perfect as it certainly hold your interest and the scenery look fantastic, the story is honest and real and it is character driven as this is a superb film.

    True Romance and From Dusk Till Dawn – both written by Tarantino but not directed by him
    Darkman – directed by Sam Raimi
    The Man From UNCLE – overshadowed by the original TV series
    Big Trouble in Little China
    Where Eagles Dare – old fashioned second world war action film

  2. I see From Dusk till Dawn, and I thought it more the horror aspect, than an action film but I haven’t seen True Romance, I like the sound off Darkman, Where Eagles Dare and Big Trouble in Little China and I’m not really into Guy Ritchie films
