10.Blue Miracle

To save their cash – strapped orphanage, a guardian and his kids partner with a washed – up boat captain for a chance to win a lucrative fishing competition. Firstly, I really wanted to like this and it has got potential and the story is there, unfortunately this isn’t memorable despite it based on a true story, once you watched this you will forget about this as this is too predictable and too safe, it doesn’t really deliver and that is a real shame.
9.Jupiter Ascending

A young woman discovers her destiny as an heiress of intergalactic nobility and must fight to protect the inhabitants of Earth from an ancient and destructive industry. Personally, I’m really into fantasy films so I thought this would be really good, the start of this film started off promising and it has got amazing CGI/SFX, but unfortunately the midsection falters and it never recover and the villain itself isn’t memorable whatsoever, it isn’t quite there despite the flaws.
8.The Midnight Sky

Augustine, a lonely scientist in the Arctic, as he races to stop Sully and her fellow astronauts from returning home to a mysterious global catastrophe. My type of genre and the chemistry between the two lead is spot on and the scenery look fantastic, there is two different timelines in this film and it doesn’t really work, it only works with the main two lead in a post – apocalyptic world but this doesn’t gel together and it doesn’t flow as well, it got potential and that is a real shame.
7.Tick Tick Boom!

On the cusp of his 30th birthday, a promising young theatre composer navigates love, friendship, and the pressures of life as an artist in New York City. With an all-star cast and the story is really good and I like the idea to this film, the characters are hard to like and they are not likeable and it feel rather forced and too sentimental, the main lead is slightly bland and it hard to connect with this film, the moral is really good of chasing your dream and it just doesn’t really deliver.
6.Vivo

Vivo and Andres are the perfect duo through their common love of music, But when tragedy strikes Vivo have to deliver a message that Andres never could: a love letter to Marta. It is one of those film which is well made and the intentions is there, with those type of film this isn’t as subtle as it should be and it is too hyperactive. The soundtrack is really annoying and really off putting and it not as charming and it not that funny as well, this is definitely a massive letdown.
5.Penguin Bloom

Sam Bloom a young mother whose world is turned upside down after a shocking, near – fatal accident leaves her paralyzed. Sam’s husband and her three young boys and her mother are struggling to adjust to their new situation when an unlikely ally enter their world in the form of an injured baby magpie, they named Penguin. To be fair with this film it never gets too overcomplicated with the flashback element, the acting is really good but the film in general seems rather forced and too sentimental, it is too predictable and too safe and it doesn’t quite work.
4.Wish Dragon

Determined teen Din is longing to reconnect with his childhood best friend when he meets a wish granting dragon who shows him the magic of possibilities. The idea to this film is really good and the intentions is there, it also not memorable enough despite you wanted to enjoy this film but for me personally it lacking the charm, the vocal in this film seems rather bland, it needed to be funny but it takes itself too seriously and that is the key for this type of film.
3.The Hand Of God

In 1980s Naples, young Fabietto pursues his love for football as family tragedy strikes, shaping his uncertain but promising future as a filmmaker. One of those film which has potential and the story is there, it doesn’t gel together and it doesn’t flow as well and it also hard to care with these characters, it doesn’t moved you and this doesn’t wowed you whatsoever but with other foreign films you normally care, this one doesn’t do that whatsoever.
2.A Whisker Away

Miyo Sasaki is in love with her classmate Kento Hinode and tries repeatedly to get Kento’s attention by transforming into a cat, but at some point, the boundary between herself and the cat becomes ambiguous. With Studio Ghibli always being consistent and I’m a massive fan of them but this one is too surreal and too weird, but unfortunately this doesn’t really work and try to be too overcomplicated, but it needed to be simple and it just doesn’t do that at all.
1.Benediction

Legendary 20th century war poet Siegfried Sassoon’s lifelong quest for personal salvation through his experiences with family, war, his writing and destructive relationships goes unresolved, never realizing it can only come from within. I really like all the genre of this film and I thought I would enjoyed this film, I was wrong as the pacing is off from the start and the flashback element doesn’t work, you don’t really care with these characters and they are to like and it such a shame.
