A small – time rancher agrees to hold a captured outlaw who’s awaiting a train to go to court in Yuma. A battle of wills ensues as the outlaw tries to psych out the rancher. I actually got this film from my public library and this is totally memorable, it is well casted and it certainly well made and it slowly drawn you in from start to finish, it also a slow burner type of film and this is a really good film.

9.Spider – Man: Homecoming

Peter Parker balances his life as an ordinary high school student in Queens with his superhero alter – ego Spider – Man and finds himself on the trail of a new menace prowling the skies of New York City. For me personally this film has got a memorable villain and the main lead is likeable, this is generally funny and it brim with comic one liner and the casting is spot on and that is the key to this film, overall, the set pieces are outstanding and this is watchable.

8.Tomb Raider

Lara Croft the fiercely independence daughter of a missing adventurer, must push herself beyond her limits when she discovers the island where her father, Lord Richard Croft disappeared. Eye catching action packed film with a good story, it also didn’t take itself too seriously and the scenery look amazing plus this is exciting, it is one of those film which is well made and this is actually enjoyable.

7.Charlie’s Angels

When a young systems engineer blows the whistle on a dangerous technology, Charlie’s Angels are called into action, putting their lives on the line to protect us all. Personally, I don’t really gets the hate for this film as this is entertaining, it is a feminism type of film which is really important for people and this is generally exciting, it will divided people and if you really into action film this is ideal for you.

6.Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens

As a new threat to the galaxy rises, Rey, a desert scavenger, and Finn, an ex – stormtrooper, must join Han Solo and Chewbacca to search for the one hope of restoring peace. Totally epic and this is a perfectly paced film that certainly hold your interest, the visual and the SFX/CGI is absolutely amazing, overall this is enjoyable and this is pure escapism and it is a rainy day type of film.

5.X – Men: First Class

In the 1960s, superpowered humans Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr work together to find others like them, but Erik’s vengeful pursuit of an ambitious mutant who ruined his life causes a schism to divide them. An all-star cast which they are convincing in their roles, it also mixed with the war element and the superhero aspect and for me personally it certainly work, the pacing is excellent and this film never bored you, this is certainly exciting and this is watchab

4.Star Trek

The brash James T Kirk tries to live up to his father’s legacy with Mr. Spock keeping him in check as a vengeful Romulan from the future creates black holes to destroy the Federation one planet at a time. Gorgeous looking film which is a thrill ride experience and it is definitely action packed, the story is there and with likeable characters that brim with comic one liner, Simon Pegg is absolutely hilarious in his role and this is generally likeable plus this film is definitely enjoyable.

3.Casino Royale

After earning 00 status and a license to kill, secret agent James Bond sets out on his first mission as 007. Bond must defeat a private banker funding terrorists in a high – stakes game of poker at Casino Royale, Montenegro. One of Daniel Craig best film as he is superb in the role of James Bond and the pacing is spot on, it is one of those film that feel totally epic and the film itself hold your interest, the villain might not be as memorable but if you get past it definitely enjoyable.

2.Top Gun: Maverick

After thirty years, Maverick is still pushing the envelope as a top naval aviator, but must confront ghosts of his past when he leads TOP GUN’s elite graduates on a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those chosen to fly it. Too be honest with you this film actually surprised me as this is a really good film, it has got a brilliant story and the characters are memorable and the set pieces is outstanding, overall, this is easy to watch and it is entertaining from the start.

1.Ghostbusters: Afterlife

When a single mum and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. Once I watch this film it wowed me as it is relatable and you actually care with these characters, the scenery look fantastic and it is silently powerful and it will moved you, it is funny and heartfelt at the same time and the CGI/SFX is absolutely amazing, this is pure escapism and this is beautiful.

  1. This made me think Mark. I had to remember that a reboot is different from a straight remake, otherwise True Grit would have been in there. So, having made sure we are discussing reboots and not remakes, here are my recommendations:
    The Mummy
    Planet of the Apes trilogy
    Mad Max: Fury Road
    King Kong
    Blade Runner 2049
    Dracula series starring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing
    Jumanji

  2. That actually true and you have got a good point, I have got King Kong and True Grit in my volume one of this category. I haven’t seen Dracula, Blade Runner 2049 or the Mad Max films but I will definitely keep my eyes on these films
