5.Philomena

A world-weary political journalist picks up the story of a woman’s search for her son, who was taken away from her decades ago after she become pregnant and was forced to live in a convent. For me personally it’s the chemistry between Steve Coogan and Judi Dench that made this film rather good, the story is spot on and the intention is there and this is a well – made film, if you wanted a good drama with an unlikely friendship this is a ideal film for you.
4.Belfast

Belfast, 1969. Buddy is a young child, growing up, doing what normal children do. Except that these are no normal times. Violence has broken out between protestants and Catholics and Buddy’s family are stuck in the middle. A well made film and this is a well casted film and it got amazing soundtrack, the main lead is likeable and this has got a good story and overall it will drawn you in, it is one of those film that is hard to watch but despite that it is intriguing.
3.Skyfall

James Bond’s loyalty to M is tested when her past comes back to haunt her. When M16 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. Perfectly paced film and it has got an memorable villain and this is eye catching, it got that emotional aspect and that work really well and this is entertaining, it got amazing set pieces that is exciting and overall the main lead is likeable, the ending is superb and this is watchable.
2.Murder On The Orient Express

When a murder occurs on the train on which he’s travelling, celebrated detective Hercule Poirot is recruited to solve the case. Firstly I know Judi Dench have got a smaller role in this film but this is so unpredictable, it also drawn you in from start to finish and it has got fantastic scenery, it never gets too overcomplicated with the flashback element plus this is a clever film with a lot of twist, this is definitely suitable for a rainy day type of film and this is pure escapism.
1.Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2011 – 2015)

It’s been eight months since the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel in Jaipur, India, has been in its current model, Sonny Kapoor pursues his expansionist dream of opening a second hotel. Joyous and uplifting film that will made you smile, it is a feel good experience and it has got an all – star cast and it has got fantastic scenery, it is a nice film and it is suitable for a rainy day and it is pure escapism, it is inoffensive and a charming film which you needed in life and this is ideal.
I would agree with all of those selections Mark. Here’s another 5 from a great career to consider.
Mrs Henderson Presents (2005)
Iris (2001) – story of Iris Murdoch
Tea with Mussolini (1999)
Shakespeare in Love (1998) – won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress
Mrs Brown (1997) – played Queen Victoria, and co-starred Billy Connolly.
