Glenrothan Cinema Review

After thirty – five years aboard, Donal returns to his native Scotland to make amends with his estranged brother Sandy. A film that will touch people heart as this is quietly powerful. It never feels  too forced or too sentimental and that is the key, the scenery looks gorgeous and it will draw you in; the story and the acting is brilliant, the flashback element never gets too overcomplicated and it certainly flow together. It about families, growing old and growing up at the same time; the chemistry between Brian Cox and Alan Cumming is spot on, the story itself is heartwarming, sad and heartfelt at the same time. The soundtrack to this film is excellent; It will move people and it will leave you a lasting impression on you.
