Away From Her

After being married for forty years, a couple is forced to part ways as the wife suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. In the facility where she is admitted, she falls in love with another man. It is one of those film which has got a sensitive topic. The scenery is fantastic and it will draw you and those are the positives; it can get too overcomplicated and there are too many ideas within this film, the pacing is slightly off and it doesn’t leave you a lasting impression on you, I don’t want to be too harsh on this film as it got a brilliant story, with these flaws this is a massive letdown.

Sweet Home Alabama

A young woman who has reinvented herself as a New York City socialite must return home to Alabama to obtain a divorce from her husband after seven years of separation. Having watched this film I thought it was pretty good. It also easy to watch from start to finish, I would say it doesn’t offer you anything new or fresh, it feels too safe and too predictable, despite that this is a well – made film.

Reign Over Me

Charlie’s world gets shattered after losing his wife and daughters in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. However, a reunion with his former college roommate could help him assuage his grief. Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler chemistry is superb. The story behind this film is brilliant, the first half of this film doesn’t gel or flow together as much, also the pacing is slightly off; it’s the final third of this film that is quietly powerful; if you stay patience with this film this isn’t a bad film, overall this is pretty good film.

Sketch

When a young girl’s sketchbook falls into a strange pond, her drawings come to life – chaotic, real and on the loose. As the town descends into chaos, her family reunite and stop the monsters they never meant to unleash. Eye catching film from start to finish. I admire this film as it tries to be something different; It might not gel or flow together as much, despite that this is entertaining, the acting is pretty good as they all convince in their roles; it might not be for everyone but this is perfectly watchable, this is good.

Bambi

Bambi is a young fawn who is chosen to become the next prince of the forest like his father. While living in the forest, he learns about friendship, love and how to protect his near and dear ones. Gorgeous looking film that will draw you in. The story is beautiful and it will touch people heart, it doesn’t quite flow together as much but this film is heartfelt, it might be a short film but this is memorable, this is suitable for all ages.

Rental Family

An American actor in Tokyo struggling to find purpose lands an unusual gig: working for a Japanese “rental family” agency, playing stand – in roles for strangers. He rediscovers purpose, belonging, and the beauty of human connection. Fantastic scenery and this film will touch people heart, this is heartfelt, heartwarming, funny and charming at the same time, you will care about with these characters as this is relatable; it will leave you a lasting impression on you, if you wanted something different this is ideal for you.
