10.Cars (2006 – 2017)
On the way to the biggest race of his life, a hotshot rookie race car gets stranded in a rundown town and learns that winning isn’t everything in life; Lightning McQueen traveling around the world. All of these films are perfectly watchable and inoffensive. The vocal in this film is spot on, the animation itself is gorgeous to look at, the story is perfect as this is suitable for all ages and a family viewing, Overall these films are entertaining and fun.
9.Harry Potter (2001 – 2011)
An orphaned boy enrols in a school of wizardry, when he learns the truth about himself, his family and the terrible evil that haunts the magical world. Coming of age fantasy film that is eye catching. The CGI/SFX is truly outstanding and truly spectaculars, the story is simple and easy to follow, the casting is perfect as they all convince in their roles, these are pretty good.
8.Transformers (2007 – 2011)
An ancient struggle between two Cybertronian races, the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, comes to Earth, with a clue to the ultimate power held by a teenager. Being a loud blockbusters type of film this will divide people. It might be action packed but it never loses the story itself and that is the key, it can be funny in places as it doesn’t take itself too seriously, it has got an all – stars cast and they all convince in their roles, these are pretty good.
7.The Mummy (1999 – 2008)
A team of archaeologists come together and team up to defeat an ancient artefact that has come to life to destroy society and everyone. Eye catching film with stunning scenery and it will draws you in. The villains are perfectly sinister and totally memorable, these films are funny and exciting at the same time, the story and the casting are spot on, these films are superb.
6.The Haunted Mansion (2003)
A realtor and his wife and children are summoned to a mansion, which they soon discover is haunted, and while they attempt to escape, he learns an important lesson about the family he has neglected. Don’t judge this film as some will like this and some don’t. It balances the darker aspects with the comedy elements; for me personally it certainly works, the casting is perfect and they all convince in their roles, the CGI/ SFX is truly outstanding; this is pure escapism and a family viewing type of film, Overall this film is fun and entertaining.
5.Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl
An intrepid blacksmith teams up with an eccentric pirate captain to save his love from an undead pirate crew. Fantastic looking film with an all – stars cast. The set pieces are exciting as this is entertaining from start to finish, it is certainly eye catching and the pacing is spot on, it might be action packed but it never loses the story itself, this is funny and pure escapism type of film.
4.Jurassic World
A new theme park, built on the original site of Jurassic Park, creates a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur, the Indominus Rex, which escapes containment and goes on a killing spree. Having watched this film I thought it was pretty good. It might be rather brutal but underneath it all there is a wonderful story, the casting is spot on and totally believable, this feel like an epic type of film and a thrill ride experience, if you wanted a perfect blockbusters film this is ideal.
3.Avatar
A paraplegic Marine dispatched to the moon Pandora on a unique mission becomes torn between following his orders and protecting the world he feels is his home. Gorgeous looking film that will draw you in. The pacing is perfect as it certainly holds your interest, the CGI/SFX is truly outstanding with an all – stars cast, it is certainly memorable from the start of this film; this will made you think as this is thought provoking, overall this is an exciting film.
2.Guardians Of The Galaxy
A group of intergalactic criminals must pull together to stop a fanatical warrior with plans to purge the universe. It is one of those film with great characters. It is genuinely funny and brims with comic one liners, the soundtrack is perfectly catchy and totally memorable, it is another film that feel like a thrill ride type of film, if you wanted something different this is ideal for you.
1.Jungle Cruise
Dr Lily Houghton, a researcher, and her brother team up with Frank, a skipper, to locate a mystical tree in the Amazon. However, they are pursued by evil entities lusting after immortality. Just breathtaking as this is surprisingly watchable. It delve deep with the mythological aspect and that is important, it might have a weak villain but if you get past that this is enjoyable, the chemistry between Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson is spot on; it balance the darker elements with the comedy aspect, it works perfectly and it will surprise many people.
