The fate of the free world hangs in the balance as Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower and Capt. James Stagg face an impossible choice – launch the D- Day invasion or risk losing World War II altogether. This is a slow burner type of film that will draw you in from start to finish. The acting is amazing and totally convincing; those are the positives, for me personally it lacks that psychological elements, also it can feel too predictable and slightly safe. It doesn’t gel or flow together as much. I don’t want to be too harsh on this film as it pays respect to those people who inspires this film, despite with these flaws the final third to this film is excellent; as it flip with the documentary side that mixed in with this film and that works perfectly, it might not be perfect but this isn’t a bad film; the story is there and this is worth watching.
