Primetime Cinema Review

Inspired by true events in 2006, “To Catch a Predator” host Chris Hansen sets out to make television history. But when a high – stakes operation goes fatally wrong, his veneered dream of fame curdles into a nightmare. I admire this film that tries to be something different. The acting in this film is believable and totally convincing; those are the positives, but unfortunately it lacks that psychological elements, it doesn’t creep you under your skin. It doesn’t gel or flow together as much; the balance of this film isn’t quite there; I don’t want to be too harsh on this film as the idea is there. It has got massive potential due to the subject and the story itself, overall this film is a major letdown and that is a real shame.
