10.Bat out of Hell The Musical
When Strat and the gang roam the street of Obsidian a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, ruled by the wicked and tyrannical Falco. When Strat first set eyes on Falco’s daughter, Raven, who been locked away in the palace tower, he set out to rescued her from her evil father’s clutches in a full throttle tale of teenage love. This show is eye catching from start to finish and if you really into Meat Loaf songs, this is your type of show with a bit of romance.
Based on the acclaimed novel by Gregory Maguire that re – imagined the stories and characters created by L Frank Baum in ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’. Wicked is based on the friendship of Glinda, the good witch and the wicked witch while they are much younger and how they met. The songs are excellent and the performances really good, plus with a good story.
8.A Christmas Carol
Ebenezer Scrooge is an old bitter miser who cares only about making money. He has no friends, he disowned his only living relative – his nephew Fred Holywell, one night three ghosts visit Scrooge trying to change his ways. This is a beautiful and a timeless story that adults and kids alike. Everyone can relate to this in a well-made production.
7.Matilda The Musical
The musical follow Matilda, precocious 5 years old girl who love reading and learning, Her parents who pay her less attention toward her and not being there for Matilda. She is forging a friendship and a strong bond with librarian Mrs Phelps and her class teacher Miss Honey, This is a beautiful and a timeless story with colourful characters and a story that capture people heart.
6.Billy Elliot The Musical
Billy Elliot is the tale of a motherless boy whose father wants him to take up boxing. Instead he dreaming to be a ballet dancer that he always wanted to be, so he is chasing his dream and it turn into reality for him. This is a beautiful and a timeless story and the message is don’t give up in life but chasing them down and I can connect with that aspect of it.
In turn of the century London, a magical nanny employs and adventure to help two neglected children become closer to their father. This is a toe tapping and exuberant and a merrily good time with a timeless story, that suitable for adults and kids alike and the performances are top notch.
4.A Monster Calls
A boy seeks the help of a tree monster to cope with his single mother’s terminal illness. This is a beautifully observed stage play as it deal with sensitive topic that ring truth to everyone, it about grief and letting go of a person that you genuinely care for and I can connect with that. The acting is superb and the tree monster effect is absolutely amazing and the visual are out of this world.
3.The Woman In Black
Arthur Kipps a young junior solicitor is sent to the village of Crythin Gifford to review the personal paper of the deceased Mrs Drablow, he discovers the vengeful ghost of a scorned woman is terrorizing the locals. Too be honest with you from the start I wasn’t that sure about it, but once the story started going I thought it was superb and genuinely creepy with atmosphere scenery with a good story.
2.Charlie And The Chocolate Factory
The Mysterious Willy Wonka is opening his Chocolate Factory for just one day, and for Charlie Bucket it promises to be mouth-watering chance to feast his eyes on sweets beyond his wildest imaginations. This is inventive and totally wacky but a timeless story with catchy tunes and colourful characters, This suitable for adults and kids alike.
A convict Jean Valjean who is on patrol after 19 years on the chain gang, Inspector Javert commit his life to tracking down Valjean leading to a dangerous past encounter that haunts him every corner. This is absolutely amazing with stunning soundtrack and beautifully acted as well, the story is superb and captivating from start to finish.
