A widower Frank Goode who lives by himself in Elmira, NY, with heart trouble, retired from a factory job and he is a family person who tracking his grown-up children. Robert De Niro certainly capture the character very well as he is sincere with gusto and he doing drama than his usual role like in a gangster style of film, his role is much a family man in this film and drama that just suited him very well.
9.Anne Hathaway (The Intern)
The founder and CEO of the company is Jules Ostin a tireless, driven, demanding, dynamic workaholic. Jules had previously agreed to a community outreach program where seniors would intern at the firm, she also got a husband in the process and she like having time to herself. Anne Hathaway normally going solo in numerous drama and romantic comedy type of film, she certainly made a perfect boss and make the role just to fit her and she got great chemistry with Robert De Niro as it shown in this film.
8.Morgan Freeman (The Bucket List)
The quiet mechanic, Carter Chambers, has been married for forty-five years to his beloved wife Virginia and has three children. Of the two sons, one is a lawyer and the other an engineer, the daughter is a violinist. Morgan Freeman is generally funny and being sincere at the same time and he certainly bring a light touch of comedy and an unlikely friendship beginning to grow with Jack Nicholson characters, as Morgan Freeman character that is so relatable as this film ring true to so many people.
7.Sandra Bullock (Gravity)
Dr Ryan Stone is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission with a veteran Matt Kowalski whose go on a simple routine in space but it gone very wrong, that they both stranded in space. Sandra Bullock normally star in romantic and comedy film but she rarely star in science fiction film, but it work really well and she making her role that suitable for her.
6.Jack Nicholson (The Shining)
A novelist Jack Torrance takes a job interview as winter caretaker of the isolated, old, huge and beautiful Overlook Hotel. Jack brings his wife Wendy and his son Danny. A super spooky version that Jack Nicholson certainly bring you, This is the making of Jack Nicholson rise of fame as he is so convincing and you also feeling sorry for him and the character that he created.
5.Margot Robbie (Goodbye Christopher Robin)
The wife of AA Milne who giving birth to a baby boy name Christopher, all of them moving to a new house in the countryside and she often work away time to time and leaving her husband to looking after her son Christopher and with some help of a nanny. It might be a smaller role for Margot Robbie but her performance and her acting credibility make her believable as the wife, she mainly star in romance style of film but she deserve an Oscar for this role as she is so convincing in this film.
4.Felicity Jones (The Theory Of Everything)
A fellow student who studied art at Cambridge in the 1960s, Jane Wilde first met Stephen Hawking and fall in love with him and even getting married. Eventually she become a carer to Stephen as he struggle with motor neuron disease and always being there for him. Felicity Jones is magnificent as the part she play and she is seriously good and work really well with Eddie Redmayne, in her other films she play the romantic lead but she deserve an Oscar for her role and she should star in more dramatic serious film role.
3.George Mackay (The Secret Of Marrowbone)
Jack Marrowbone who have three other siblings relocate to an old house in the countryside as they all live alone, they didn’t know the old house is generally spooky and weird things going on. He is the oldest and he looking after his siblings and he is a leader and fearsome at the same time. George Mackay certainly outshine his co star as he is absolutely amazing as the main character in this film, he is so precisely and certainly spot on and the good thing is, he only 28 and certainly one to watch out for.
2.Will Smith (The Pursuit Of Happiness)
Christopher Gardner is a struggling salesman who take custody of his son as he poised to begin a life – changing professional career as his wife leave him with his son and just flee, she left her husband and her kid homeless on the street. Everyone know Will Smith as the funny guy as he acted in comedy and action films, he have to be serious as the father role and it certainly wowed you as he is better suited in this type of role and he should star in more drama films.
1.Anjelica Houston (The Witches)
Grand High Witch Miss Eva Ernst is a leader of Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children who wanted to get rid of children by turning them into a mouse. Anjelica Houston is certainly out of this world as the dastardly hard hitting villain in this film, she is so convincing and simply terrifying and commanded in every scene in this superbly crafted well made film.
