Discover Donna’s young life, experiencing the fun she had with the three possible dads of Sophie. As she reflects on her mother’s journey, Sophie discovers that she is more like her mother than she ever realized before. Not for the most cynical type of person but this is joyous and an uplifting film, the songs and the musical element is truly spectacular and this is a feel good film plus it got an all star cast, it is one of those film that will made you smile.

4.Darkest Hour

In May 1940, the fate of World War II hangs on Winston Churchill, who must decide whether to negotiate with Adolf Hitler, or fight on knowing that it could mean the end of the British Empire. This is silently powerful and this will moved you and that what you needed in a film that based on a true story, Lily James is superb in her role and the rest of the acting is amazing and it will leaves you a lasting impression on you, the story is really good and it is a well-made film.

3.Yesterday

A struggling musician realizes he’s the only person on Earth who can remember The Beatles after waking up in an alternate reality where they never existed. It is one of those film that is generally funny but it also heartfelt, it got a likeable lead and Meera Syal and Sanjeev Bhaskar is absolutely hilarious as the parents and with their comic timing, Himesh Patel and Lily James got good chemistry together and the rest of the casting is spot on, it just a really nice film.

 2.Fast Girls

An athlete, who belongs to a poor neighborhood, dreams of becoming a world champion. She joins the national track team and overcome to achieve her goal. Some people might find it too predictable but this is relatable, the moral is never giving up and chasing your dream and I personally relate to that message, you also care about with these characters and it is an all-British cast, this is joyous and this is a crowd pleaser plus this is uplifting and it will made you smile at the same time.

1.The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society

In the aftermath of World War II, a writer forms an unexpected bond with the residents of Guernsey Island when she decides to write a book about their experiences during the war. Honest real and relatable film with stunning scenery and it has got a fantastic cast, it never gets too overcomplicated with the flashback element and it will drawn you in from start to finish, the story is there and it will leaves you an lasting impression on you and the ending is beautiful.

  1. Lily James wasn’t a name that I was familiar with, but I did see Darkest Hour and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and enjoyed both of them.
    I checked out what other films she has been in, and none of them are my kind of film.

  2. I think personally Lily James didn’t really star in Blockbuster type of films. I also enjoyed those two films just like you Rob, I also think with Lily James films them can divided people as well.
