Growing up in post – World War II era Arizona, young Sammy Fabelman aspires to become a filmmaker as he reaches adolescence, but soon discovers a shattering family secret and explores how the power of films can help him see the truth. Firstly the acting is absolutely amazing and especially Seth Rogen as he is a comedy actor and he is seriously really good. The story is spot on as this can be really powerful and it got great characters that are likeable, the moral is chasing your dream and for me personally I can relates to that message, but unfortunately the pacing is slightly off and the first hour is rather uneven and slight inconsistence, the second hour to this film is spectacular and truly moving and you actually care with these characters, this is really intriguing and this is a really good film.

I have seen the Fablemans and I agree with your comments Mark. Fascinating insight into the development of the Director. I spotted 2 references to his films, but I’m sure there are more. One to go back and watch again for the details.
