Being based on a true story it inspires those people behind this film. The acting is amazing and totally convincing, for me personally the pacing is spot on, it has got a superb ending to this film, once you watched this film you will always remember it.
9.Supernova (2020)
Sam and Tusker are traveling across England in their old RV to visit friends, family and places from their past. Since Tusker was diagnosed with dementia two years ago, their time together is the most important thing they have. A beautiful LGBTQ film which captures people heart. This isn’t your average Hollywood film and that is refreshing, it is silently powerful and it will move you, the chemistry between the two lead is perfect, it will surprised many people.
8.The Marsh King’s Daughter
A woman with a secret past will venture into the wilderness she left behind to confront the most dangerous man she’s ever met: her father. Don’t judge this film on the reviews but please just watched this. This is another film that will surprised many people, the acting is believable and totally convincing, this is certainly memorable, overall this is a well – made film.
7.Oppenheimer
A dramatization of the life story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the physicist who had a large hand in the development of the atomic bombs that brought an end to World War II. Eye catching film that will draws you in. it has got an all – star cast which they all convince in their roles, this is another memorable film from start to finish, once you watched this film you will always remember this film, it is superb and overall this is a well – made film.
6.Balloon (2018)
Two families attempt to flee the German Democratic Republic in a homemade hot air balloon. However, after they fail, they struggle to make a second escape plan. Fantastic looking film that will draws you in. it is unpredictable with twist and turn throughout this film, the pacing is perfect as it certainly holds your interest, the acting is perfect, it is surprisingly good.
5.Conclave
When Cardinal Lawrence is tasked with leading the selection of a new Pope, he finds himself in a web of conspiracy and intrigue that could shake the very foundations of the catholic Church. Got to admit something this film surprised me as it is pretty good. It has got an all stars cast and they all convince in their roles, this is a slow burner type of film that works perfectly, it is totally unpredictable from start to finish, overall this film is certainly memorable.
4.She Said
New York City, 2016. Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey’s quest to break the Harvey Weinstein scandal. Could be hard to watch for some people as this got a sensitive topic. It got that psychological aspect which you needed, the two main lead has got excellent chemistry together, the story and the idea behind this film is superb, it is one of the best journalist film.
3.Motherless Brooklyn
Lionel, a private detective with Tourette syndrome, sets out to uncover the mystery behind his mentor Frank’s murder. However, he stumbles upon a larger conspiracy. Having watched this film I thought wowed. The ending will move you and the pacing is just right, at the heart of this film there is a real mystery, the casting is perfect as this is perfectly unpredictable; it never gets too overcomplicated and that is the key, it is one of the best crime/mystery film.
2.Nomadland
After losing everything in the Great Recession, a woman in her sixties embarks on a journey through the American West, living as a van – dwelling nomad. It might be too slow for some people but this is quietly powerful. I like the message of choosing your own paths and don’t let anyone influence you, the scenery is outstanding and you will care about with these characters, it will leave you a lasting impression on you, this is a relatable film for people.
1.A Man Called Ove
Ove, an old and ill – tempered widower, constantly enforces the rules of his neighbourhood and soon loses the will to live. However, his life changes when he meets Parvaneh, a pregnant wife. Just breathtaking as this film touched my heart. it about life in general and people can relate to that aspect, it does deals with a sensitive topic but this film is life – affirming, this is another film you will care about with these characters, this isn’t forced or too sentimental, it will leave you a lasting impression on you.
